Superstition

Having been superstitious for so many years about cutting his lucky handlebar mustache, Harley somehow always knew it would bring him good luck with the ladies.

Grow

Ostrich was frustrated with Chicken's stunted growth issue, so every day spent in the junkyard was a struggle.

I must say that I was inspired by a fellow .blogspotter, rottentuna.blogspot.com for this one.

Open Table

"Table's Open"...oil on wood for my brother's 30th birthday and house-warming gift. Ironically, our return trip this past weekend from camping in Virginia was followed with a fitting theme.

Paradise Drive-In

Sort of a combination of last week's theme: Swing on in, kick your heels off, and enjoy an ice cold shake at our ol' fashioned theatre. Seems like outings like this are harder and harder to come by.

Citrus-flavored Neighbor's Sign

In an instant, your sign can be signaled and seen. The slightest movement could trigger emotions in someone or something else. These are my neighbors. They smell of citrus. Perhaps they were into the air fresheners again.

Fortune

You can find these former Fraggle Rock stars relentlessly combing the beaches in search of treasure...'one man's trash, another man's fortune.'

Student Portrait

Briggs was a good sport and model.

Self Portrait

Our students are using traditional dry media like charcoal and pastel on pre-dampened surfaces. The last of the series is a self portrait study.

I ran across this inspiring artist, http://tommatt.com/ out of NY, and so my students are rendering cityscapes over newsprint.

Communication

Networked through a labyrinth of heated tubes and buried below concrete, radiant heat is a good friend to stay in touch with in the dead of winter.

Invention

I have no idea, but this is called Da Marzo Machine. It rotates and cuts the noses off the glasses. The parts are then saved and worn at meetings.

Thanksgiving

College Dining Hall: everyone standing in line like it was a rock concert. Bent silverware, greasy plastic trays, the guy in the back sweating on the potatoes -- you know what I'm talking about. But, we all loved it -- even went up for seconds...as long as you had someone's "ticket." Same thing on Crab Legs Night.

Broken Wind

This is a tribute (ok, spoof) on Mr. Mister -- only it's a sequel to their original album, "Broken Wings." Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the 80's!

Tyrant

Nothing but a trouble-making Tyrant

Trouble

Wyatt Earp: "Are you gonna do something, or just stand there and bleed?" He and his immortals, along with the legendary Doc Holiday, brought law and order to the streets of Tombstone in a fiery stand with the local cowboys -- whom were always stirring up trouble. >linocut, 6 x 6"
