This is a special image - maybe being personal has helped with it's emotion. I think you have done two images but have joined them for us to see the full view. I like them as two seperate pieces as well. Very beautiful :)
Thanks for the above remarks. I wish there was a better reason for cropping...but my scanning bed was too small to fit the entire drawing and I guess I was too lazy to take a digital picture. I used gesso, oak tag (my favorite surface), and graphite wash under a matte medium seal. This was during our first snowfall in beautiful southern PA.

I really like the texture and emotion in this, but why is it in two pieces?
Wonderful piece this week. definatly looks remote. And breaking it up into 2 parts gives it a contemporary feel as well. I like it!
i like the sepia tone. and agree with leezy...there's much emotion in this.
